In order to find a broader, "safer" alternative to mouth -lying and acidification measure, a lot of research has been conducted in recent years into the use of different types of stone flour (Weijters et al., 2018, De Vries et al., 2019, Van Diggelen et al., 2019, Vogels et al., 2019, Bobbink et al., 2020, Verbaarschot et al., 2020, Verbaarschot et al., 2021, Weijters et al., 2023, Sitters et al., 2024, Van der Bauwhede et al., 2024). Moist heathland, pile -up grasslands and forests on sandy soils has therefore increased sharply.
