- In the port area, different species of birds breed in large numbers. In order to ensure that sites in the breeding season (between March and August) can be issued and construction and design projects can take place, it is in some cases necessary to at these locations prevent birds from breeding. In this period, breeding birds are protected in accordance with the Environment Act.
Until 2023, HBR has contracted ecological advice and coordination separately. The execution of keeping free was carried out through another contract. In 2024 and 2025, HBR has a pilot performed where all this is invested with one contractor. HBR would like to continue this method. With this integral request, HBR strives to contract one contractor for a longer period.
