• Description:
• The municipality of Hoorn has an art collection consisting of mainly paintings, but also three -dimensional works. The majority of this collection is located in the depot in the basement of the renewed town hall. The rest of the collection can not only be found in the renewed town hall(walls, meeting and work rooms), but also at various locations in the city. After all, this collection is a lending collection. The depot is very unclear. Due to the renovation of the town hall, all the artworks that hung here and there were on the wall or on window sills in roll containers and binsplaced and put in the depot. There is no workspace to display and sort artworks. However, it has been registered which artworks are in what roll containers or bins, but these are Excel lists that are no longer up to date and difficult to do next to the actual situation in the depotLaying are. There is a desire to "clean up" the collection and thus come to an art -historically relevant and attractive core collection. As a result, the lending of the artworks is expected to be new lifeblown in.
