• The municipality of The Hague is faced with the task of investing in the tram infrastructure in The Hague in the coming years. To make public transport more attractive and to prepare for the growth in the number of travelers, investments are being made in expanding the capacity of public transport and inincreasing the quality of public transport. The expansion of capacity will be achieved by replacing the high-floor trams (GTL8) with spacious low-floor trams.
  The Municipality of The Hague, MRDH and the HTM are working together on this task. These parties jointly realize infrastructural projectsects within the Influx New Tram Hague Region (INTHR) program. The tender for the assignment involves a joint contract.
  The current tram infrastructure in The Hague on line 6 is not suitable for the new HTM trams in all places. Since the new foodvehicles are wider and longer than the current GTL8 vehicles, adjustments to the tram infrastructure are required. Because the entry to the trams is on the same level as the platforms and stops, the platforms are adjusted in such a way that the trams connect well to them. In addition to work on the tram infrastructure, etcTo improve the accessibility of the tram lines, quality improvement of the public space is included in the assignment.
