Description: The Energy Distribution Company (EDB) of the Ministry of Defense in Den Helder manages the distribution and production of electricity and heat at the locations in Den Helder.
In addition to a 10kV 50Hz distribution network, the EDB also has a 12kV 60Hz distribution network that is used to connect the ships moored in the Marine Haven on whale voltage.
The EDB has a power heat station in which three rotating inverters are set up to convert 10kV 50Hz to 12kV 60Hz and vice versa.
In addition, the EDB has its own energy generation at 12kV 60Hz level in the form of three Diesel Gas Motor (DGM) Generator sets.
The assignment includes the periodic inspections, the preventive and corrective maintenance of the electrical installations in the EDB distribution and transformer stations.
