- Description: Within the Microspor & Materials (M&M) team of the NFI, the need has arisen to purchase a new Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FT-IR). The lifespan of the current system is over. The FT-IR microscope is used to identify materials and substances. The new device to be purchased is expected that measurements are done in a routine way. The equipment is reliable and standard settings are easy to recall. Calibration is arranged automatically and the operational reliability is high. The link of the equipment with the databases is crucial. That link is natural and smooth. The equipment is sensitive. It is possible to obtain good spectra from small samples, for example 20x20µm. The results are clearly, well -arranged and representative. It is possible that the spectra can be stored in the form of a PDF/print, so that it can, for example, be shown externally.
