Description:
The Province of Fryslân is faced with an urgent task to renovate movable structures due to outdated drive and control hardware and software. In addition, the safety of the working environment in and near the object must be improved on the basis of the Machinery Directive. Three of these works of art are: Noorder Oudeweg Bridge (NOW); Bridge Scharsterbrug (SB); Bridge Janesloot (JS); In addition to these three bridges, there are other movable structures that need to be replaced or renovated with a similar scope. The Province aims to use a serial approach and, if possible, a combined approach to these structures, through a framework agreement with one contractor, to reserve the required capacity in a timely manner with this party and to go through a learning curve so that successive projects are carried out more and more efficiently.
