Description:
The ROTTERNOWENS HAAG Energy Region is one of the 30 energy regions in the Netherlands. Regional governments, such as municipalities, provinces, water boards, entrepreneurs, nature and environmental organizations, network operators and residents, regional governments work on the regional interpretation of the climate agreement. The Climate Agreement contains a coherent package of measures that should ensure a CO2 reduction of at least 49% in 2030 compared to the year 1990. From the Regional Energy Strategy (RES), the Regional and local aspects of the National Program Local Heat (NPLW) and the regional share in the cooperation on energy infrastructure on a provincial scale (including energy council, energy vision and PMI), these parties work together on the regional interpretation, locations and approach to the generation of sustainable electricity, the supply of sustainable heat in the built environment and the Storage and infrastructure for energy and heat.
