- The municipality of Pekela is actively committed to sustainability and the reduction of its CO₂ emissions. In line with these ambitions, the municipality already uses HVO100 fuel as a sustainable alternative to fossil diesel. HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a renewable, fossil -free diesel fuel, produced from waste and restolies, which considerably reduces the emissions of CO₂ and other harmful emissions. The current framework agreement with a supplier for the delivery of HVO100 fuel will soon be expired. To guarantee the continuity of fuel supply and to realize a long -term cooperation with a reliable supplier, the municipality is organizing a public European tender. The purpose of this tender is to conclude a new framework agreement with one supplier, in which agreements are recorded on, among other things, delivery conditions, quality requirements and pricing.
