Description:
The Dordrecht City Park is one of the seven programs from the Dordrecht 2030 Agenda. Within this agenda, the municipality is working on a socially and economically strong central city in the Rotterdam Metropolitan Area. Sportpark Schenkeldijk is one of the locations inside the City Park program where a transformation to a more public city park is being prepared. Within Sportpark Schenkeldijk, the municipality sees opportunities for the development of a food park, in which food production, nature and social added value come together. The municipality is looking for initiators who want to develop and manage this place in a way that fits the ambitions of the City Park. Social added value is explicitly taken into account (for example daytime activities), accessibility (anyone can come there) and cooperation with the city (for example schools or associations). The land on which the municipality wants to realize a food park belongs to the municipality. This means that we will hold a tender for the realization of one food park including supporting functions such as real estate. In order to arrive at a well-developed plan and collaboration, the municipality of Dordrecht asks market parties to provide input in advance.
