  • The present project concerns an additional treatment step on the WWTP Amstelveen that achieves an improvement in the water quality of the Amstel, through better effluent quality. To achieve this, the technical objectives for the entire purification, including expansion, are as follows:
    - removal of micro -contaminants of at least 80 % compared to the waste water that comes in on the WWTP (for the subsidy from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, a purification performance of at least 80 % applies;
    - far -reaching nutrient removal compared to the current one Effluent quality:
    The Effluent will in any case contain no more than 0.25 milligrams of phosphorus per liter of waste water (on the basis of on the basis of progressive annual average);
