- Vitens faces the task of providing sufficient drinking water now and in the future, taking into account, for example, climate change and the living environment. The reason for the Fikkersdries project is a shortage of extraction permits and production capacity in the Gelderland clustersNorth and South (operational difference). Vitens wishes to fulfill this need at the Fikkersdries location. The project goal is to design and realize 6 Mm3/year additional production capacity for the new extraction permit of the Versnelling Fikkersdries and to solve the Endof Life situation of PB Fikkersdries I (12 Mm3/year) due to the accelerated realization of a new production location of 18 Mm3/year, hereinafter referred to as: Fikkersdries III. In order to guarantee market knowledge in the design and to achieve the ambitions with regard to acceleration, Vitens wants this meanss to market a 2-phase contract.
