Description:
TenneT faces a major challenge in the coming years. From around 2026, in addition to a large number of major upgrades to existing high-voltage lines (approximately 600 km between 2026 and 2035), a large number of large new high-voltage lines are also planned to be built (approximately 400 km between 2026-2035). This will potentially lead to a total demand of 1,000 km until 2035, which represents a tripling (x3) of current demand.
NB: This concerns the current expectation, depending on various factors the number of projects may ultimately be higher or lower.
TenneT wishesBy means of this recognition scheme, to arrive at a list of suitable contractors for carrying out civil work (particularly installing mast foundations and constructing work roads) regarding new and existing high-voltage lines. The recognition procedure takes place exclusively digitally via the Mercell platform.
