Description:
The scope of the Construction Contract includes: Construction works: new build and/or expansion of offices, research and laboratory facilities, and connecting elements (such as an Orbit-like axis), with the first element (IMF) serving as a recognizable starting point. Fit-out and installations: civil and architectural works, together with mechatronic/MEP installations (HVAC laboratory ventilation, cleanrooms, specialized utilities), as well as finishes and interior adaptations. Integration and accessibility: implementation of connecting structures and infrastructure to provide a cohesive campus narrative across the different buildings. Phasing and deliverables: execution in predefined phases with corresponding plans, tests, milestones, and acceptance criteria per phase. Assumptions and constraints: ensuring operational availability of portions of ESTEC where feasible; compliance with ESA safety and environmental regulations; governance and interfaces with Facility Management; and a focus on sustainability and circularity.
