- The overall aim of the FAPA grant is to create economic benefits for the smallholder farmer and local communities while contributing to building environmental and social resilience of land-use. The project was designed to finance ATAF projects under the four main components: (i) Component 1: Development of Agroforestry Models, (ii) Component 2: Market Assessment and Development of Value Chains, and (iii) Component 3: Agroforestry Model Promotion and Replication. The project objectives included promoting and introducing new agroforestry techniques, development of new value chains, strengthening capabilities of producer organizations and enhancing market access. During the FAPA grant period (2016-2024), the project has financially supported the design and implementation of four ATAF projects in Ghana, Kenya, Mali, and Togo.
