Scheldestromen Water Board is a government organization whose tasks are to ensure the flood defense and integrated water management (water system and wastewater treatment). Caring for the roads in the rural area is also its responsibilitywater board.
The water board is led by the general meeting and daily decisions are made by the executive board. The official organization is headed by the secretary-director. The management area of the Scheldestromen water board concerns the area of the Proprovince of Zeeland with an area of 190,273 hectares, where 391,142 people live.
