Description:
Amsterdam is one of the most famous cities in the world and has an impressive public transport network that offers 800,000 travelers every day by traveling the capital. The ferries on the IJ are one of them. On average, 72,000 passengers travel per day with the Lijveren (2019). The expectation is that this number will increase by 40%between 2019 and 2030. The residential building task is substantial, especially around the (northern) IJoevers. The feathers will play a crucial role in the coming decade in the connection of Amsterdam south and Amsterdam north of the IJ. There are currently seven ferry connections on the IJ, which are operated by GVB VVERS on behalf of the municipality of Amsterdam (these are the so -called library). The current black fleet consists of 2 series, the 50 series of which is completely driven and the 60serie has a hybrid drive (with dieselaggregate). In the context of reliability, sufficient capacity, safety and sustainability, the desire of the municipality of Amsterdam is to only let the feathers sail emission -free by 2030.
