- The project concerns the sustainable restoration of the effluent pipe on the site of the Amsterdam West WWTP (AW), between the effluent pits of the secondary settling tanks and the effluent gutter. This concerns two pipelines, one on the north side of the site along the track and one on the south side along theWestpoortweg.
In essence, the work to be delivered includes:
Application of needle felt relining impregnated with resin to the inside of the effluent pipes with the following dimensions:
132 m length x 900 mm diameter
265 m length x 1250 mm diameter
338 m length x 1600mm diameter
113m length x 1800 mm diameter
463 m length x 2000 mm diameter
57 m length x 2200 mm diameter
Carrying out - where necessary - inspections and studies to determine and quantify the defects in the effluent pipes to substantiate the renovation method to be chosen. This can be done during the construction team phaseIt turns out that relining is not the most suitable solution for all effluent pipes. In that case, it may be decided to apply other solutions, for example complete replacement of the pipe.
Finishing the relining on the effluent wells in a watertight manner
Providing flexibletransitional facilities to absorb the residual settlement difference between the pipe and the wells and to absorb thermal deformations of the effluent pipes.
