- HHNK maintenance her flood defenses (dikes) itself. These are mowed approximately twice a year, leaving the (clean) cuttings in bales on the flood defenses. The current cuttings are removed by a contractor and then composted. The quantity of this cuttings is approximately 795,000 kg per year. In addition to the (clean) cuttings, green waste is released from, for example, the duckweed cleaners. This green waste composers on our yard. This compost is removed once a year by a contractor and is approximately 700,000 kg per year. Through this market consultation, HHNK wants to gauge whether the market is interested in reducing the cuttings and green waste and to process it into a sustainable or circular solution and what costs are associated with this
