Description:
There are approximately 1,500 street waste bins within the municipality of Alkmaar. In the current situation, fixed routes are used to empty these waste bins, regardless of the level of filling. This leads to unnecessary labor input, unnecessary kilometers and possible litter because people drive too late in the day when the car is full waste bin arrives. Stadswerk072 therefore intends to enter into an agreement with one contractor for the design, implementation, technical management, maintenance and support of a planning and implementation system for emptying waste bins. With the digitalization of waste bins means providing 'street waste bins' with a sensor that measures the filling level and communicates this data together with the geographical location. Press waste bins are used to speed up emptying at busy locations where a lot of waste is generated deployed.
