Description: University Medical Center Groningen The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) is one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands and the largest employer in the Northern Netherlands. The more than 13,000 employees work in patient care and on prominent scientific research, where the focus is on ' healthy and active aging '. In the context of scientific research and education, we work closely with the University of Groningen. About 3400 students are trained as a doctor, dentist or movement scientist and more than 450 doctors trained as a medical specialist. Patients come to the UMCG for very specialist diagnostics, examination or treatment. All patients from the Northern Netherlands with complicated or rare disorders are ultimately referred to the UMCG.
