- Description:
- A tender for the supply and maintenance of an overhead line installation vehicle was published in August 2025. Due to the failure to receive valid tenders and due to the need of the contracting authority to change matters, it was decided to to republish the tender. Specially equipped vehicles, the so-called Overhead Line Installation Vehicles, are required for regular maintenance of the tram and metro area as well as for resolving calamities and malfunctions of the overhead line. hereinafter referred to as BMWs. These vehicles are suitable for transport by rail as well as on public roads and are equipped with an aerial platform that allows the technicians to be brought to the location where the work needs to be carried out. RET has three BMWs in use. The oldest car (number 2040) is approaching the end of its technical life and must be replaced. That is why RET wants to replace the overhead line installation car no. 2040 with a new car that meets the current technical and environmental requirements and which is easy to use and has few problems with disruptions.
