- Necessary maintenance requirement for the existing paving and pressure sewer system, which gives substance to the legal duty of care for maintaining public spaces. The cycle paths on both sides of the Gilzerbaan and the south side of the Rueckertbaan are too narrow and must be widened in order to be able to process the current and future traffic flows of cyclists. In that context, the contractor is expected to investigate fauna passages in the form of tunneling (max 2 pieces) in the construction team phase and advises on this. To transform the current tile pavement of the cycle paths to an asphalt paving, a government subsidy is available until the end of 2026, which the client wants to use. For the fauna passages, a subsidy is available until the end of 2026, which the client wants to use.
