Description:
The current Slippery Report System of Rijkswaterstaat has existed for approximately 35 years and has approximately 350 measurement stations along highways and provincial roads in the Netherlands. These measuring stations collect data with sensors in the road surface and sensors along the road. The current measuring stations are outdated, require high maintenanceloads and must therefore be replaced.
The Road Weather Information System is a new national system aimed at traffic management in extreme weather conditions, including slipperiness. The Road Weather Information System takes over the functionality of the current deprecated Gladheid Meld Ssystem and offers additional functionality.
The scope of this contract concerns the installation, dismantling, management and maintenance of the Road Weather Information System (RWIS).
