Description:
The Vlagheideberg is a former landfill in the geographical center of the municipality of Meierijstad. The municipality of Meierijstad wants to set up this mountain for recreational use. This concerns the construction of walking and cycling paths. The investments take place in coordination with the city region"Shertogenbosch as the owner of this former landfill. . In addition, the province of Noordbrabant also has an interest because it becomes responsible for the "eternal aftercare" of this landfill. Finally, the Central and West Brabant Environment Service plays a role as a licensing authority for the desireddevelopment. All interested parties are in consultation with each other and have the expectation that agreement will be reached in the summer of 2025 on the interpretation of the recreational function of the Vlagheideberg. The municipality of Meierijstad has the aim of the cycle paths in the spring of 2026To be able to take use and now already sort for this with this tender.
