Description:
The executive board of the Amsterdam Transport Region intends to award the Amsterdam 2025 concession for the provision of public passenger transport in the Amsterdam concession area to GVB Exploitatie B.V. no later than early December 2024, by means of a tendering procedure. With the veloan of the Amsterdam 2025 concession is awarded to GVB Exploitatie B.V. the exclusive right and also the obligation to operate public passenger transport by metro, tram, bus and car from 15 December 2024 on the territory of the municipalities of Amsterdam and Diemen as well as the territory ofthe municipality of Ouder-Amstel, which is located to the east of the A2 (especially the core of Duivendrecht). This exclusive right and obligation also applies to foothills to be determined - routes that cross the Amsterdam concession area - including the tram connections to and from Amstelveen and Uithoor.n. The Executive Board has not yet taken a decision with regard to the maximum term. The maximum duration also depends on extension options that can be invoked by the executive board in accordance with the concession decision. As a result, the maximum concession is below the stated termduration of fifteen years (180 months) for this multimodal concession.
