Description:
In the Binckhorst district of The Hague, a lot of new construction is planned in the coming years, including in the Trekvliet-Maanweg development zone. It is expected that 5,000 7,500 new homes and 79,000 m2 GFA of non-residential buildings will be built in this development zone in the next 15 years. For this new construction of heat en cooling, the municipality of The Hague wishes to install a very sustainable low-temperature heating system to which all customers in the area can be connected. This heating and cooling system must be fed with heat from renewable sources that are available locally, such as met Heat-cold storage in the soil and regeneration of the heat demand from aquathermal energy and air (air-water heat pumps). Through this tendering procedure, the municipality grants a concession to a heat company that supplies the heat system (including the sources, storage, the pipeline network and the indoordistribution up to and including the delivery set) designs, finances, realizes and operates.
