The research results must lead to tools for policy and managers to be able to use (after a sufficient decrease in the nitrogen deposition) effective and sustainable recovery management of forest soils and thereby to be helpful to achieve goals for the aforementioned forest types and habitats.Moreover, policy makers gain more insight into the (im) possibilities to take recovery measures in forests in relation to the current nitrogen deposition. Administrators get more insight into effective recovery measures that can be carried out to restore the forest floor sustainably when theNitrogen deposition has fallen sufficiently. At the same time, insight will be gained into the applicable scale and frequency on which this measure could be used in the event of a beneficial effect. We expect this to be the practical test in the Noordenveld offers a unique opportunity to make the measures carried out(to evaluate or not, whether or not to evaluate in combination with administration or cuts).
