Description:
Water is vital. We need it for drinking water, for arable farming, in livestock farming and in industry. In the Netherlands there is usually enough water, but it is often unevenly distributed and polluted. That is why water management is necessary. Where there is too much water, the water boards drain it. Where there is too little,they argue it. They regulate the discharge of polluted water with permits. They purify the sewage water and maintain the flood defenses. The management area of the Drents Overijsselse Delta Water Board (hereinafter referred to as WDO Delta) covers the southwestern part of Drenthe and the western part of Overijssel. With a management area of 275,500 hectares, WDO Delta is the second largest water board in the Netherlands. WDODelta consists of several types of locations such as offices, sewage treatment plants (RWTP), support points and workshops. Various waste streams arise at these locations that must be treatedn removed for processing. The Client outsources the work for this to external suppliers. At all locations, the waste flows are collected, transported and processed by the contracted supplier.
