Description:
The VRR has a fleet that, in addition to its specialist vehicles such as tanker sprayers and ambulances, consists of around 180 service and picket vehicles. These are passenger cars and vans intended to drive from A to B (service vehicles) or to perform an emergency task (picket vehicles). These vehicles generally do not have a permanent driver and are therefore used by several VRR employees. The number of drivers changes from day to day. The vehicles run on average 3 to 4 rides per day, with an average of 20 kilometers per ride. The majority of the vehicles are equipped with built -in accessories, such as telematics, communication equipment, stand heater, often fed from a second battery system and/or 220V inverter. The VRR has the ambition to be an inclusive, circular and climate -neutral organization in 2040, so that the deployment of electric vehicles cannot be kept off. That is why the VRR has decided to use the starting point for the replacement of its service and picket vehicles, electrically unless.
