- The European tender concerns bird counts: * The annual inventory and reporting of breeding birds in the sweet national waters and of coastal breeding birds in the salty delta, and; * Counting and reporting water bird species in three geographical areas: namely Zoute Delta, Dutch Continental flat (NCP) and the below river area. Optional activities (under plot e) are: o Natura2000 areas Frisian front and brown bank in addition to a zigzag pattern (~ 370 km transect length); o from 2026 to carry out a seventh count in a counting season annually; o From 2027, the rent of an aircraft required for counts of water birds on the IJsselmeer/Markermeer Under the other plots, no optional work applies. The data of the counts are needed to be able to use the two nationwide measurement networks for breeding birds and water birds Continuing and being able to comply with the information obligation of the European Commission.
