- By means of this voluntary advance announcement, the Rijn en IJssel Water Board (hereinafter: WRIJ) wants to inform market parties of the intention to award the contract for the Care agreement to ABB. We need process automation for our tasks in the water chain, for which we use vand the process automation system AWK01 (ABB system 800xA and ABB Ability Symphony Plus) from ABB. Part of the management of this automation software is done by the water board itself, but there are a number of management components that the water board currently uses.and services and products from the manufacturer of this system (ABB). To keep this system in excellent condition (safe, reliable and future-proof), the water board uses ABB's Care service. This Care service includes support, evaluation, testing, maintenance, licensing and vsafety of the system. Technical support and the supply of replacement components are also part of the Care service. The current agreement expires and the water board intends to enter into a Care agreement with ABB for a period of 5 years. WRIJ made the decision in this regardto apply this announcement on the basis of Article 2.32 paragraph 1 sub b and 2.33 sub b AW 2012. The reason for this is that competition is not an issue for technical reasons. If an alternative system/alternative market parties had to be used, this would be accompanied by significant additional costs...
