Description:
The objective of this study is the creation of a model that predicts the satellite network demand evolution linked to governmental/institutional services. This model (eventually adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms) requires the identification of all factors (e.g., historical data, weather alerts, news…) that may have an impact on the network usage patterns for governmental/institutional services. The model would provide information about the predicted capacity demand (in terms of data rates; i.e., Mbps or similar unit) with a given certainty degree for a given timeframe and service location. This would allow a given network to maximise its usage on commercial services when governmental/institutional services are not required, and conversely, the network to timely unlock the required capacity for governmental/institutional services based on network demand predictions, this way avoiding static capacity assignment regardless of its usage patterns.
