- In the context of this Tender, the Municipality intends to purchase the service of safety inspections of electrical installations. This concerns installations and facilities in public spaces. The inspections relate to, among others, the following assets: public lighting, traffic control installations (VRI) and traffic information systems (VIS). For a complete definition of the scope, see section 1.2. Based on the duty of care, low-voltage installations and associated electrical installations are work equipment is periodically inspected for safety and functioning. These inspections may only be carried out by authorized and certified inspectors. Compliance with this standard is therefore an essential part of the broader safety and management policy of the municipality. Electrical installations and the connected electrical installations and equipment can pose a hazard. In order to comply with the duty of care with regard to electrical hazards, the Municipality of Amsterdam wants to know the risks of electrical installations and equipment in order to tailor repairs and policy accordingly.
