Description:
The assignment concerns the preparation and implementation of renovation, restoration and sustainability of the nationally listed building in which the GGD headquarters are located, at Nieuwe Achtergracht 100. The result is the preservation and restoration of the existing steel frames, the restoration ofthe architecture in the original image with new metal frames, and various structural and building physics improvements.
The client, Municipal Real Estate (GV) is the owner of the project, the tenant of the object and is responsible for the project result to be achieved.
Renovatconstruction and restoration of the steel facade frames within the monumental preconditions;
Reconstruction of the glass facade bay window (5 floors) at the end of the building: Nieuwe Achtergracht and Weesperstraat;
Replaced drawn float glass with insulating glass with drawn glass outer leaf;
Realisation of rear windows;
Sun protection consisting of screens, drop-down screens and drop-arm drop-down screens and replace where necessary;
Remediation of existing asbestos in the facade parts;
Repair of tiling work on site of former outdoor galleries
Repair of concrete parts, rainwater drainageand terrace.
