- NS is looking for a supplier who can deliver air spring balls for a pneumatic secondary spring system for the Nstreintype VIRM. It concerns 2100 bellows over a period of+ 6 years. In accordance with the NS policy, we conclude the registration with a framework agreement with 2 different suppliers, both the winner of the registration and the number two. With the explicit addition that only the winner of the tender will deliver 100% of the air spring balls. The runnerup is only asked to deliver air spring balls if the winner cannot or does not want to deliver or does not perform during the term of the agreement. The air spring balls must, after intention to award the contract, continue a few tests. These tests are paid in the first round by the Dutch Railways with a maximum of 50,000 euros. If the test does not succeed and a new design is needed, and therefore a second round tests are required, the costs are for the supplier.
