- On July 13, 2020, the Leiden city council took the decision to initiate the sale of the former cheese market school (hereinafter: the "location") with a mixed interpretation as described in the vision document of Stichting Stadsatelier on the Kaasmarkt. The sale of the cheese market school is not a normal sale in many ways. The location located in the middle of a residential area is a municipal monument and the function that the place is currently fulfilled for local residents and those involved, make the place many valuable aspects. The city council has chosen to sell the location (land and building) together with the vision document of the Stadsatelier Foundation on the Kaasmarkt. With this special sales, the municipality selects the best plan for the location and appeals to the knowledge, skills and mainly the creativity of the market.
