Description:
To meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and the Dutch Coalition Agreement and to contribute to a sustainable future for the industry in The Netherlands, the Dutch Government aims to facilitate the energy transition of the 1020 largest industrial greenhouse gas emitters in the Netherlands with a tailormade approach.The aim of the tailormade approach is to support these companies, based on mutual commitments, in order to achieve additional CO2 reduction before 2030 , promote a sustainable future in the Netherlands for companies signing up to the tailormade approach and to contribute to other benefits for society in the Netherlands. This assignment is primarily intended to support decision making in the second phase of the tailormade approach. Before formally committing to providing such support the Dutch government seeks a reasonable level of comfort that the investments are long term beneficial for society.
