• Description:
• The Bernhard barracks in Amersfoort is home to, among others, the Education and Training Command (OTCo) of the Royal Netherlands Army and is important for preparing operational units. The real estate is very outdated and that is why the Central Government Real Estate Agency will renovate and renovate the barracks on behalf of Defense. In the coming years, the barracks site will undergo a large-scale renovation that is expected to last until 2037. The work includes the demolition and replacement of the most outdated and too small buildings, the improvement of other buildings (approximately 140 buildings, 120,000 m² GLA) in the areas of safety, health, usability and sustainability, and the redesign of the underground and above-ground infrastructure. To allow business processes to continue as much as possible during construction, temporary accommodation is provided for staff, classes and office facilities.
