Description:
The A44 was built in the period from 1935 as the A4 highway, making it one of the oldest motorways in the Netherlands. The Rijksweg contains, among other things, a work of art from the project scope, namely the Railway Viaduct, which was built in the 1930s. century (19331939). The artwork was not built with its current use in mind. Research has shown that the railway viaduct is nearing the end of its lifespan. The main objective of the project is to make the railway viaduct structurally safe in a timely manner and to ensure that the applicable standards for structural safety are again met, so that the A44 is again available in accordance with the regular regime. The focus of this purchase is on the railway viaduct.
