- Description:
- The core of the project consists of placing the A10 South in a tunnel on the route (roughly) from Buitenveldert cemetery to the Beatrixpark on the north side and from VUmc to the football fields of AFC on the south side. One tunnel system is built consisting of a northern and southern tunnel. The new tunnel tubes come between the existing buildings and on either side of the metro and train tracks. The tunnel tubes are crossed at the top of the Parnassusweg, the (new) British passage and the Minerva Passage of Station Zuid, and Beethovenstraat. There are two tunnel tubes per driving direction, one containing the parallel lane (2 lanes) for the purpose of the destination traffic and one containing the main lane (4 lanes) for through traffic.
