Description:
The movement works of the Oosterscheldekering are powered by 130 hydraulic installations. These installations are at the end of the lifespan and must be made suitable for the future. A part of this statement is the replacement of the 130 installations. After replacement, they must continue to function properly for a duration of at least 25 years. The contractor must mainly perform the following activities: • Hydrauliek Unit; • Manifold; • Piping and support stainless steel on the cylinders on the pillars; • overhauling the electric motors of hydraulic pumps. In order to control risks as well and as efficiently as possible, a two -phase approach has been chosen, whereby the following distribution applies: phase 1 consists of a design phase and proof of concept on 6 sliders (incl. Delivery and manufacturing components). Phase 2 includes the realization/rollout of the installations on all remaining pillars that were not executed during the proof of concept.
