Description:
The movement works of the Oosterscheldekering are powered by 130 hydraulic installations. These installations are nearing the end of their lifespan and must be made suitable for the future. Part of this assignment is the replacement of the 130 installations. After replacing Mmust continue to function properly for a period of at least 25 years.
The contractor must mainly perform the following activities:
•Hydraulic unit;
•Manifold;
•Stainless steel piping and supports on the cylinders on the pillars;
•Overhaul of the electric motors of hydraulic pumps.
In order to manage risks as well and as efficiently as possible, a two-phase approach has been chosen, whereby the following division applies:
Phase 1 consists of Design phase and Proof Of Concept on 6 slides (including delivery and manufacturing components) .
Phase 2 includes the realization/roll-out of the installations on all remaining pillars, which were not performed during the Proof Of Concept.
