Description: This project concerns the third phase of dredging work for multi-year maintenance work on the waterways in Limburg and Noord-Brabant.
The target realization bottlenecks outside the scope of the Maasroute project are also included in this contract that limit the navigability on the Weurt - Ternaai route for class VB ships.
The work includes:
- Remove locations with sludge and soil contamination;
- The scope of the contract comprises 20 locations;
- Three additional dredging locations are included as optional;
A special case is the location in the lateral Kanaal Linne-Buggenum. The channel floor was used here in the 1980s as a Speciedepot. The cover layer of sand is now partially gone. A new cover layer of Breukssteen is prescribed for this location.
